Fraud Alert

This notice is to alert the public that over the past several weeks, a person or persons have presented themselves as employees/representatives of Centro, Inc. This person or persons have sought to open lines of credit with suppliers and in some cases have placed orders for products from these target companies.

These people have used publicly available and some private information about Centro, Inc. to apply for credit. The pattern of the scam has been:

- The scammer sends PO to vendor posing as Centro Inc.
- The scammer requests credit terms using Centro reference information
- Shipment of the order is requested to be sent to a freight forwarder with known destinations in Blaine WA and Melbourne FL

IF YOUR COMPANY HAS RECEIVED A REQUEST THAT IS PURPORTED TO BE FROM CENTRO, PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A STRONG POSSIBILITY THAT THESE ORDERS ARE FRAUDULANT AND ARE NOT COMING FROM AN EMPLOYEE/REPRESENTATIVE OF CENTRO, INC.

All Centro email addresses are from the Centro domains (centrosolves.com & centro-online.com) as examples. Emails from other domains (.US, gmail, yahoo, etc.) are NOT valid email addresses for any Centro employees or subsidiaries.

If you receive an unexpected or unusual order from what appears to be a Centro, Inc., please contact Centro, Inc. at our corporate headquarters in Memphis, TN to confirm whether this is a legitimate PO or fraud. We will be glad to take over and contact your local law enforcement for this attempted fraud.
