Centro College was founded 15 years ago to create the best trained technical sales organization in our industry. Over that period of time Centro grew from 3 locations and 9 salespeople to 8 locations and 22 salespeople.
For the past 15 years the program was instructor lead with meetings in Memphis TN and Little Rock AR. Our salespeople would travel in each month for a full day of product training and professional skills development. At the end of December, 2017 management realized that the company had outgrown the classroom style training model.
On February 20th Centro launched the new Virtual Centro College training program. The format of four vendors participating hasn't changed but instead of traveling to one of two sites for the meeting, the company has invested over $160,000 to create virtual classrooms in all 8 of our locations.
The first meeting went quite well and we are confident that with this investment and the reduction of travel time, we can continue to present a best in class sales organization to our customers in our 11 state territory.
